Glynn McMorris, Senior Pastor

Pastor Glynn McMorris and Sharron came to Mio Baptist Church in June, 1991.

Pastor graduated from Louisiana State University in 1975, then began his Christian ministry at Central Baptist Christian School in Baton Rouge, serving 12 years as principal and basketball coach. He received his master’s degree from Pensacola Christian College in 1982, and in 1987, he relocated to Chicago where he helped to establish a Christian School.

Sharron serves as our church secretary and is active in the church choir, sings solos and is a member of the Joyful Sounds Trio. She also speaks occasionally at ladies retreats.

Pastor and Sharron have three children: Jeremy, who is a pastor in Texas; Erin, who lives in South Carolina; and Matt, who serves as the music director at his church and owns a digital marketing agency. The Lord has blessed them with seven grandchildren.

Jamie Lundquist, Assistant Pastor

Pastor Jamie and his family began their ministry at Mio Baptist in October 2012. Previously, they served the Lord for over 10 years in the area of youth work. They met while attending Christian college. Jamie received a Bachelor of Arts in Youth Ministry in 2004 while Amber received a Bachelor of Arts in Sacred Piano in 1999. They were married in 2001 and have been blessed with three beautiful children.

Jamie has a passion for preaching God’s Word in a clear, practical way that exalts Christ, encourages believers and evangelizes unbelievers. He wants people to know that serving God is exciting! He enjoys woodworking, anything outside and spending time with his family.

Amber is the church pianist and is a wonderful ministry companion. She loves being a homemaker, reading, crafts, gardening, being outdoors and spending time with her family.
